The release of the Ferrari 333 SP marked Ferrari’s first foray back into the world of sports car racing after a 20 year absence, the 333 SP was built to Ferrari specification by Michelotto – a company that had been building advanced racing machines for Ferrari since the 1970’s.
This beautifully preserved 1965 Ferrari 330GT was the car selected by John Lennon in February 1965, luxury car dealerships across London heard that Lennon had just passed his driving exam, so they rushed their most glamorous cars to his home in Weybridge, Surrey – in the hopes that he’d take a fancy to one of them.
This is an all-original 1954 Ferrari 500 Mondial Spider Series I by Pinin Farina, only 14 of them were ever made with a further 16 being made by competing coachbuilder Scaglietti. The Mondial 500 was named after Alberto Ascari’s Formula 2 car that had dominated the previous years championship – winning 6 of the 8 races in 1953.
This is a 1953 Ferrari 340/375 MM Berlinetta ‘Competizione’ and it’s one of those wonderful ’50s era Ferraris that even non-sentient, single celled organisms find beautiful.
This is a 1964 Ferrari 250 GT Lusso Berlinetta and it’s a very, very beautiful thing. Sadly they were only produced in very limited numbers (350 total) between 1963 and 1964 meaning they’re not the sort of thing you’re likely to see parked outside the local Hyatt.
The Ferrari F40 is considered by many to be one of the single best supercars in history, built to commemorate Ferrari’s 40th anniversary, the car was an instant icon when it was released in 1987, it was also the fastest, the most powerful, and the most expensive road car that Ferrari had ever made.
