BSA Boating
I guess this is entry #1,767,876 in our ongoing series “Why Vintage Motorcycle Ads Were Better”.
1952 Landrover Series 1
The Landrover Series 1 is a motorcar that I think belongs in every automotive “Top 10” list, it’s an iconic piece of equipment that I should be parked right alongside the Jaguar E-Type and the The Aston Martin DB4 as standout examples of British design.
Obris Morgan Branco
The Obris Morgan Branco is one of those watches that should probably cost a lot more than it does. Each watch is milled from a single block of titanium, the strap is handmade in Italy, the face is beautifully minimalist and is framed by anti-glare sapphire crystal.
Indian Railcar
This is one of those images that I know nothing about but love anyway. We seem to be looking at an Indian motorcycle that’s been converted to run a small one man railcar, probably used by an engineer to check lines.
Race Bike by Wolf Creative Customs
I love interesting engineering projects like this, it’s a race bike built by Wolf Creative Customs based out of Culver City.
Blonde Mud Racer
Some photos are just perfect. This one has the smile, the hair, the bike, the helmet, the mud and the boots. Love it.
1951 Alfa Romeo Tipo 159 Alfetta
There’s nothing like removing some bodywork to show you the real genius behind automotive design. This 1951 Alfa Romeo Tipo 159 Alfetta is one of the most successful racing cars ever made
Cherry Cafe Racer by Deus
Deus Ex Machina has a refreshingly heretical approach to cafe racer building, this bike is one of their latest creations and you can tell at a glance that it’s a signature, antipodean cafe belter.
Klhip
Well I never thought I’d feature nail clippers on Silodrome however, design is design and these clippers (or, Klhippers) are tiny little engineering marvels. They’re made from surgical grade stainless steel and you can grab one here for $50.
The Pup by Old Empire Motorcycles
Old Empire Motorcycles is a brilliant little boutique garage based in Norfolk, England. They’re fairly new and this is their first publicly available custom motorcycle, it’s been dubbed “The Pup” in memory of the infamous WWI fighter plane, the Sopwith Pup.
Walnut Wood Wallet
This is a new one on me, wallets fashioned from a single piece of Walnut wood that can apparently be tucked into a rear pocket and sat on, with no unfortunate consequences.
Grace Space Pace
Jaguar have designed some of the most beautiful cars in history, the XK120, the D-Type, the E-Type and my personal favourite, the XKSS.
