The humble Sportster is one of the most popular bases for custom motorcycle building in the US, interestingly it’s also a wildly popular bike for tweaking within the Japanese bike building community.
Triumph created the 1977 Triumph Silver Jubilee to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II’s Silver Jubilee, the model was highly popular and remains a collectors item with only 2,400 examples ever having been built.
There’s something about this photo that just makes me smile. The blasé body language of the guy on the right just does it for me.
This bike started life as a 1992 Ducati 900TT, already a serious bike in it’s own right. Interestingly, the first thing Rad Ducati did was add a modified Yamaha TZ 250 GP solo seat and modified Yamaha TZ 250 GP front fairings. We featured the Nortorious by Goldammer Cycle Works earlier this week and it caused all of our regular reader’s eyes to explode out of…
I love bikes with a back story. And this bike, Christine, has a hell of a story to tell. She started life as a stock 1998 Honda VTR1000F before being involved in a traffic accident so severe that it likely would have been the death-knell for most motorcycles.
The first thing many of you are probably thinking is “he spelt ‘Friday’ wrong”, it’s what I thought too when I came across this fantastic Scrambler custom over on 8negro last week.
