In 1950, 2 years after his more-famous-than-Jesus swim-suit speed run at Bonneville, Rollie Free returned to the salt to reclaim his title. This time he arrived with a fully enclosed Vincent Black Lightning, a first attempt at streamlining by Rollie and on day 2 he made his first full-speed run.

Dubbed the ‘Lucky 13’ this BMW R100/7 is the latest build out of the garages of Blitz Motorcycles, a France based custom motorcycle garage with a penchant for cafe racers, scramblers and very unusual paint jobs.
Urban Motor is a relatively new garage based in Berlin, Germany. Headed up by a friendly chap by the name of Peter, Urban Motor has already produced 4 custom BMW motorcycles and 1 custom Moto Guzzi..
This bike, named the TI Boxer, was the result of an accident at 70mph on ice. The bike was utterly totalled with the only salvageable parts being the engine, wheels and forks. Using this as a base, the guys at Team Incomplete set about creating the most advanced BMW Café Racer we’ve ever seen.
The project has been picking up quite a bit of attention around the web, not least for the fact that Matus will build you your own Akira Bike if you pledge $10,000 to getting his concept off the ground.
This is Dot Smith, the famous female stunt rider from the 1930s and 40s, she was a member of the San Francisco Motorcycle Club and a founding member of the iconic “Motor Maids” with Dot Robinson and Linda Degeau.
This bike started life as a 1986 Honda VF1000R although it would have been hard to guess given the modifications to the bike. The lower fairings have been removed and the remaining body work has been sanded back and given and eye catching distressed paint job.
