This fantastic looking retro-racer is a Honda XL350 based Grass Tracker built by Phil Little Racing, the frame is an English-style tracker frame and was found hanging in the Minneapolis area shop of Merritt Cody, along with its matching fuel tank.
This 1964 Porsche 904 GTS has seen significant international race success in its long life, it was bought new by race outfit Scuderia Filipinetti in 1964 and out straight to work on race tracks around Europe including an impressive 2nd in class at the Nürburgring 1000km, a 2nd in class at Mont Ventoux and wins at the Rallye de la Baule, the Rally de Lorraine and the Rally de I’AGACI.
This fantastic footage was shot onboard a Jaguar D-Type being driven by Mike Hawthorn in 1956. It’s an great look at the Le Mans circuit as it was in 1956, it’s strange to see cyclists and civilian motorists out on the road – in fact Mike nearly wipes a couple of them out during the filming of this segment.

The Spirit of Munro is a salt lake racer built as a hat tip to legendary motorcycle racer, Burt Munro. Munro’s original streamliner was based on a 1920 Indian motorcycle, the bike was ancient by the time he set his last record (at 47 years old), it’s a staggering testament to his abilities as an engineer that he was able to set so many records with it, including the under-1000cc world record which still stands today.
The Iditarod is one of the most difficult races ever devised by the mind of man, it’s a brutal winter race that takes place in Alaska between Anchorage and Nome. The fastest recorded time is 8 days, 19 hours, 46 minutes, and 39 seconds and that includes very little sleep.

In 1938 Ettore Bugatti started work on an aircraft designed to win the illustrious Deutsch de la Meurthe Cup Race and to test performance technologies with a view to using them on French fighter planes. Before the incredible plane had a chance to fly, the Nazis invaded France and left Ettore and his chief engineer Louis de Monge with no choice but to smuggle the partially completed aircraft out under the cover of darkness to Bugatti’s estate outside Paris.
This film, Dust to Glory – Rally Baja 1000, is a fantastic look at the world famous Baja 1000 desert race. It’s an event that officially start in 1967 and was originally called the “NORRA Mexican 1000 Rally”, the first event was held on the 31st of October and the start line was set up in Tijuana, Baja California. The winning team were driving a Meyers Manx VW Beetle based buggy and they completed the course in 27 hours 38 minutes.
