This fantastic, action packed photograph was taken on the football pitch of Crystal Palace in London in 1923. The gentlemen in the picture are clearly enjoying a hotly contested game of football with a small crowd of spectators looking on through a haze of burnt gasoline.

This is one of those images that I know nothing about but love anyway. We seem to be looking at an Indian motorcycle that’s been converted to run a small one man railcar, probably used by an engineer to check lines.
I love interesting engineering projects like this, it’s a race bike built by Wolf Creative Customs based out of Culver City.
