Many of you will remember Ellaspede for their custom Honda CB 350 that we featured here on Silodrome some months back, the bike picked up a huge amount of attention for it’s unique styling and well thought out, rider-friendly design.
Modern Motor Cycle Company is run by the talented mechanic and industrial designer Christian Condo, he started MMCC as a workshop he could use to create custom motorcycles as well as handmade motorcycle parts and moto related art.
We’ve decided that we’re going to feature short films on Silodrome on Sundays, a sort of weekend-24fps-salve for all that ails you. This week we’re featuring a wonderful short film about Paul McKinnon, the owner of Evolution Custom Industries out of Sydney, Australia.
Randy De Puniet, a well established star in the world of MotoGP, took delivery of his first Deus Ex Machina motorcycle this week. He commissioned Deus to build him a mid-sized bike with a 2-up twin, it had to be light enough for spirited city riding and have enough power on tap for highway excursions out of Sydney.
I love nothing more than coming across a bike that makes me stop and re-evaluate my own notions of what a specific style of bike should look like. This Honda CB350 built by the guys at Ellaspede is a genuinely innovative, modern interpretation of the café racer genre, and we really like it.
Deus Ex Machina have produced some of the coolest modern day flat trackers currently on the road and this W650 is no exception, something about the look of a classic flat tracker appeals to me greatly, I’m not sure if it’s the mud-flinging capabilities, the promise of long rides down empty beaches or the fact that the lack of a rear seat means I have an excuse not to lug the Mrs around with me (which I’m joking about if she reads this).
We’ve been wanting to feature Garage Project Motorcycles for some time here on Silodrome, the brilliant Perth based custom motorcycle builder has been turning out great looking bikes since 2009 and now that 2 of their builds have been featured on both BikeExif and Pipeburn, we’re going to bring you their first ever build, a Kawasaki W650 Street Tracker.
Deus Ex Machina’s Bali garage is rolling some genuinely innovative bikes out onto the road with this new custom, dubbed “The Shocker”, being a worthy addition to the garage’s back catalogue.
