There’s something fantastic about seeing a woman carving her way through mud deep enough to swallow most men whole. The fact that she’s doing it on what appears to be a vintage 2-stroke only makes it all the better.
In 1985 stuntman Steve Matthews jumped a Ford Transit over 15 cars for charity, his prep work on the van before the jump involved nothing more than removing the glass and duct-taping the hood closed.
This is an old photograph of an old roadside Ducati pitstop, I’m not sure what the race in question was but I do like the fact that he seems to have almost an entire spare bike sitting in his wooden cases.
The Austin Healey is a bit of an unusual choice for a Hollywood star, in the 60’s E-Types were exceedingly popular amongst the celluloid elite, as were Ferraris and drop top Mercedes.
Françoise Hardy was an iconic figure during the ’60s and ’70s, her music influenced millions including the likes of Bob Dylan and her effortless style heavily affected the fashion industry of the era. In some respects she was France’s answer to Audrey Hepburn, although arguably Hardy’s influence stretched further.
This is another one of those brilliant photographs with no traceable backstory. It’s a captivating image so I decided to share it nonetheless. I’d love to know the tales behind the well worn leathers and slight scowl on her face
I thought it’d be a good idea to share this photograph of an old Indian motorcycle store and garage, it’s been the desktop wallpaper on my Mac for the past couple of months and never seems to get old.
Bill Milliken is an astonishingly talented engineer, by the age of 19 he had already designed, built, flown and crashed his own aircraft, his fascination for machinery continued right through to the current day – he’s still alive and kicking at the age of 100.

This incredible photograph of Robert Benoist drifting his V-12 Delage around the 1924 French Grand Prix circuit is just about the most perfect motor racing picture I’ve yet seen.
