The Austin Healey is a bit of an unusual choice for a Hollywood star, in the 50’s and 60’s E-Types were exceedingly popular amongst the celluloid elite, as were Ferraris, Astons and of course, the drop-top Mercedes.
This appears to be the Austin Healey 100M, it was the model before the more famous Austin Healey 3000, interestingly it was named the 100 due to the fact that it could hit 100mph (this was quite a significant feat back in the mid-50’s).
There are quite a few Austin Healey 100s still on the road today and a decent example will cost anywhere from $20,000 to $80,000+, making them one of the more affordable classics from the 1950’s. Click here to view a list of AH 100s for sale.
