Carga Bags was started in 2006 by Argentinean architect Mauro Bianucci, he was living in New York at the time and made the first Carga Bag as an experiment. The bag was given to a friend in the fashion world and through pure word of mouth, orders for the unique bags began to flood in.
The project has been picking up quite a bit of attention around the web, not least for the fact that Matus will build you your own Akira Bike if you pledge $10,000 to getting his concept off the ground.

This bike started life as a 1986 Honda VF1000R although it would have been hard to guess given the modifications to the bike. The lower fairings have been removed and the remaining body work has been sanded back and given and eye catching distressed paint job.
This is one of those photographs I can spend few minutes looking at, the sparks and the sense of motion carry through the lens so well in some images and this is a great example.

His garage has a track record for building bikes that are the distillation of modern café racers, I know that term is over used nowadays but it used to refer to bikes that were bought as stock, stripped back as much as possible to save weight and then modified only in ways that would increase performance. This beautiful retro wallet and chain is made by The Lowly Gentlemen, based out of southern California. The wallet is cowhide with a suede interior and offset cream stitching whilst the cord is modelled on vintage hotrod electrical cables and comes with brass clips at either end.
With the surge in popularity of electric bicycles it’s interesting to note that they were first invented in the 19th century, a number of patents were filed around the same time with this one by H. W. Libbey being the closet approximation to the set up electric bicycles have today.
