Board Track Tricycle Racing is something we were unaware of until very recently, it appears to be a French photograph and the background doesn’t give a whole lot away. If you know more about this than we do, which isn’t hard at this point…
I can only hope that deades after I have shuffled off this mortal coil there’ll be pictures of me with a big toothy grin standing proudly by a thoroughly raced and slightly bent motorcar.
The 1968 Opel GT started life as a concept car back in 1965, that curved steel body was built under contract by French company Brissonneau & Lotz with most of the running gear and other components coming from the humble 4-door Opel Kadett B.

Easily one of the greatest car films of all time, Bullitt featuring Steve McQueen has become one of the standout celluloid icons of the late 60s. This picture was taken during filming and, I think, it sums up the film rather well. Hell, it sums up McQueens entire career rather well.
This is Don Yenko racing his 1961 Corvette, I don’t have any further information on the picture sadly. When I first found it I spent a quarter of an hour staring at it and admiring the aerodynamic effect the rain water and wind created as they pass over the hood and windshield. It’s beautiful.
This long line of Porsche 917s was taken in 1969, the cars are all awaiting delivery to their respective race teams. The 917 went on to win Le Mans in 1970 and 1971, it was also the car that co-starred in Steve McQueen’s now infamous 1971 film “Le Mans”.
