This photograph is an excellent example of why helmets should always be worn, even when people are riding on “soft” tracks. Sadly we don’t have any more information about the rider but accidents like this on flat track circuits usually end with the rider sliding into the barrier before getting up and hobbling off with a bruised backside and a wounded ego.
His bike doesn’t look like it’s quite willing to give up the race yet.
