The Pilot Mission Timer by Standard Issue Instruments is designed to be a minimalist, unbranded watch that can be worn everyday – or just when you know you’ll be off the beaten track and might damage a more expensive timepiece.
The inspiration for the design was the watches worn by US special forces in the ’60s and ’70s – it’s made from surgical grade 316L stainless steel with 10 ATM / 100m water resistance, C3 Superluminova luminous paint for nighttime legibility, a screw down crown and caseback for superior water resistance, a 60 minute ‘countdown’ mission-timing bezel, and drilled lugs for easy strap changes.
