The custom Sportster is one of those types of motorcycles that can really go either way. I’ve seen beautiful examples and I’ve seen garish and raked out hack jobs that’ve made me want to set them alight, just to put them out of their misery.
Anzani was a bit of a hybrid between Leonardo Da Vinci and Howard Hughes. He had a deep and abiding love for engines and built everything from a fully functioning hydrofoil to a 20 cylinder 4 row radial aircraft engine in his day.
There’s something captivating about the photograph on the left, even though it’s a still image it still manages to somehow convey both a sense of speed and a sense of noise, even over 100 years later.
