“Charts To Begin A Journey To The Moon” is a collection of 3 Apollo 11 era NASA charts used by the astronauts in the lead up to the first manned mission to the moon. Each of the charts has been inscribed by Buzz Aldrin – sheet one is signed by Buzz with “LMP” added, sheet two has the text “GO or NO GO?” by Aldrin and sheet three contains the text “GO for TLI, BUZZ ALDRIN.”
The 3 charts are for sale as a single lot at the upcoming Space History Sale run by Bonhams, the auction will take place on the 8th of April 2014 and surprisingly the estimated hammer price on this lot is $1,500 USD – making it remarkably affordable for NASA memorabilia.
