This vintage BBC documentary, called James Hunt vs Niki Lauda – Clash Of The Titans, is a fantastic look back at the now world famous rivalry between James Hunt and Niki Lauda.
Many of you are already probably well aware that there’s a movie coming out later this year dedicated to the James Hunt vs Niki Lauda battle called “Rush”, it’s directed by Ron Howard and stars the likes of Chris Hemsworth, Daniel Brühl, Olivia Wilde, Alexandra Maria Lara and Natalie Dormer.
This documentary pre-dates Rush by a number of decades and features men like Murray Walker, who knew both drivers well and even commentated with James Hunt in the 1980s before Hunt’s untimely death.
If you’re planning on seeing Rush, this documentary is essential viewing. Though to be honest, I think it’s essential viewing regardless.
