I have a deep and abiding love for the 1967 Mustang Fastback, I don’t know exactly what it is about the car, but it’s been on my top 10 list since I was in short pants and if I’m honest, it’s the only car on my top 10 list that falls within my affordability bracket. At least at the moment.
The 1967 model year was the first big redesign of the Mustang, for many Mustang purists the ’67 and ’68 model years are considered the best looking and most Mustangy looking Mustangs.
Steve McQueen used a 6.4 litre ’68 Fastback in the infamous movie Bullitt, instantly making the car an icon and quickly resulting in dark green becoming a very, very popular colour choice.
Currently on eBay (but only for a few more hours) this ’67 is in almost perfect condition, the owner restored it to it’s currently better-than-new condition and the temptation to decimate my savings account by hitting the Buy It Now button is almost overwhelming. In fact, the fear of my dragon lady lovely Mrs is the only thing holding me back.
