Porsche 911: 50 Years is a hardcover volume that I suppose would be officially classified as a coffee table book, although this description does it a significant disservice – This is a book that contains a huge array of early prototype photographs, stories from the pre-911 years at Porsche and the story of how the first 911 came to be.
The book is the work of Randy Leffingwell – a renowned automotive historian and globally respected authority on Porsche history. If you happen to have a coffee table and a penchant for the 911, this book is an essential buy. Just make sure you don’t lend it to friends, or you’ll never see it again.
