The new Bell & Ross GMT-TWG is a limited edition model that’ll only be sold through online retailer The Watch Gallery, the rather lengthy full-name of the model is Bell & Ross BR03-51 GMT-TWG Limited Edition and the choice to sell it exclusively online through a single retailer offers an interesting look into the shifting sales strategies of some of the larger luxury brands.
With a mechanical-automatic Soprod TT651 movement and an anti-reflective sapphire, the square-cased GMT-TWG follows closely with the Bell & Ross Aviation Collection that debuted in 2005. The square-shape is designed to evoke the style of classic instruments on the dashboard of pre-digital aircraft and the collection has been hugely popular, single handedly lifting the brand from relative obscurity to a seat at the table of the largest luxury watch makers in the world.
With only 50 being made and a price tag of £3,500 ($5,800 USD), this isn’t a watch for everyone, however if you’d like to strap one on you can click here to visit Bucherer. If you’d like to read a little more about the model and about Bell & Ross in general, you can click here to visit A Blog To Watch.
