The Baja desert races have always fascinated me, I secretly think that’d I’d be fantastic at it however I suspect all men do. I love the old pictures of Steve McQueen competing in the race in the 450hp Baja Boot and I just can’t quite form a sentence that expresses how much I want a go in that thing.
This footage is from the early ’80s and despite the fact that there’s no sound, the images tell a tale of dust, dirt, gasoline and sunburn. In other words, a perfect weekend.
