This film, titled “Never Start Something You Can’t Stop” is the story of the John Wyer Gulf Oil Ford GT40 team, who went on to win the 1968 Le Mans. The film was created by brake pad manufacturer Ferodo as a promotional piece of sorts and it’s narrated by non other than Sir Stirling Moss.
The first 4 minutes of the film show a flying lap around the Le Mans circuit from the nose of a GT40 with Moss giving you the lay of the land – the film is worth watching if for no reason other than this first 4 minutes. If you like vintage racing, which you almost certainly do giving your current website of choice, you’re going to want to find a coffee and hit play. You’ll thank me later.
