The Red Grifo is a remarkable 20 minute long documentary about the incredibly rare and much-loved Iso Grifo, an Italian sports GT car that first appeared in the 1960s.

The Grifo is perhaps best known for its DNA, it was developed by Giotto Bizzarrini the godfather of the Ferrari 250 GTO, it was designed by the legendary Giorgetto Giugiaro, it was built by Bertone, and it was powered by the world-famous Corvette V8. It’s a borderline miracle when this many icons of an age get together on a single project, car collectors have realised this in recent years and Iso Grifo values have been skyrocketing as a result.

The film tells the story of Darren Frank, his father, his daughter, and of course, his Iso Grifo. Frank does an excellent job of explaining the history of the car and its historical significance, these stories are beautifully spliced together by director Guy Smith, with a welcome dose of footage of the Iso Grifo itself.
