Georg Meier and the 1939 Isle of Man TT

I have a great deal of affection for people who fly things that are not supposed to be airborne, this particular example of impromptu flight is motorcycle racer Georg Meier on his supercharged BMW at the 1939 Isle of Man TT.

Georg went on to win the race with an average speed of 89.38 mph and a total time of 2:57:19.0. It was the last year the race was held until 1947 due to the onset of WWII.
