Divina Galica was only the third woman to ever race in Formula 1, interestingly it came about because she was a British Olympic skier and was invited to take part in a celebrity automobile race. She stunned the field with her talent and was quickly hired to race in the 1976 British Shellsport International Group 8 series, she was tasked with driving a Surtees TS16 and despite her relative inexperience she managed to take third place at Brands Hatch and a second place at Donington Park.

Divina went on to enjoy a remarkable career racing in everything from Formula 1 and Formula 2, to karts, sports cars and trucks. After she retired from competitive racing she was hired as a racing instructor with Skip Barber Racing Schools and she now works as a director at iRacing.com.
