Men have been racing cars for as long as cars have existed. I’m not exactly sure how the idea of racing a car against an iceboat came about. I’m willing to bet it had a lot to do with beer and boredom.

This short film shows the race, by the sound of the rather excitable commentator it may be an old Chevrolet promotional film of some sort. We haven’t been able to dig up any further information on it sadly.
