The Clash Jacket is one of the newer offerings from Roland Sands Design, it’s characterised by its offset front zipper and diamond stitched shoulders which give the jacket a clean, understated and appealingly retro feel. It’s made from hand-finished, washed and oiled & waxed top grain cowhide (+/- 1.1mm thickness) and has a performance riding fit – with rotated, pre-curved sleeves, a slightly longer back and a relaxed collar opening.

As with all the jackets from RSD, the Clash comes with pockets ready for elbow, shoulder and back armour, which are sold separately (for $90 as a complete kit). The benefit of removable armour is that if you want to wear the jacket when you’re not riding you can take it out and leave it in the garage – noticeably reducing the weight and bulkiness of the jacket.

The Clash has a soft lined electronics security pocket perfect for those of you who ride using your smart phone for audio GPS cues, it also has stretch mesh cargo/stuff pockets and a zip close interior chest pocket for money, a credit card and a hip flask (for when you’re done riding for the day, of course).
