You don’t often see tandem motorcycles, usually the only time you see a tandem anything is when a middle-aged couple from Delaware rent a two-seat bicycle whilst on vacation. For some reason they never look as cool as the two girls above.
The 1930 Henderson Custom is one of the most stunning art deco motorcycles we’ve ever seen, it’s based on a 1930 K.J Henderson with an inline-4 air-cooled engine, that bodywork is all custom and it’s the sort of thing that would have impressed even Ettore Bugatti.
The 2013 Triumph Scrambler is fitted with a parallel twin, 865cc, air-cooled engine that produces 58hp and a very respectable 50ft-lbs of torque. Carburettors have been discarded in order to meet EU emissions requirements so the engine is now fed by a multipoint sequential electronic fuel injection system with SAI, this has the added benefits of being more fuel efficient and making the bike exceedingly reliable.
This is one of those bikes that instantly sets off a huge amount of want in almost all who see it, it’s an original 1934 Crocker Speedway Racer and it’s one of only 30 that were ever made.
